Yup - actually I think I'm more likely to say ' I was in hospital' or so and so was in hospital - sounds more natural to me.

If the wolf fell unconscious amidst the berries, surely she would have realized what it was that she ate when she woke up? The berries are right there, she didn't eat all of them.

If she was disoriented afterwards, she might not have been paying attention to things like that. After all, she'd just fallen off a cliff so she probably had a concussion.
