that teacher chick is really shitty for digging her for 'the edge' (which seems to basically have been a wall so people dont get too close to her) n then isnt into her when the idealized version of maho she created fell apart whem maho genuinely started to like her n enjoy spending time with her. theres prolly a better way of wording that but this oneshot metaplorically just left a bad taste in my mouth

Artistically, this is a bit more like what I expect from Sakamoto, although the content is unfortunate. Sensei is quite a selfish person, as it turns out. She claims she wanted to change Maho, to give real substance and belonging to her life - and actually succeeded in doing that, only to come to feel sorry for herself that she doesn't feel the "zest" anymore? Even though she managed to make a genuine and beneficial improvement in Maho's life?

Doubtless we'll never know, but it'd be nice if Sensei herself grew up a little and learned to be satisfied by the good that is right in front of her, and that she helped to create.

We can only hope that Maho never finds out. Or at least not before she has matured enough to be able to handle such a blow. Cooldudeshitlord is right, her "edgyness" was only a protective wall or mechanism that resulted from her being an abandoned kid. I can only imagine the damage inflicted should she find out the one person finally taking care of her only liked her for her misery...

Yeahhh sensei's a bit messed up, that's for sure. She needs to work on herself a bit and hopefully she'll learn to love the rose without its thorns.... I me idk about you, but i like a rose with or without thorns just as much.
