I think this post on reddit summarize pretty much everything that happened:

That clears it up. The fan art is not rape, just regular NSFW het where she enjoys it. Since we do allow het series, I suggest uploading it here so that we can see more fan arts of the series like the author wanted.
Seriously, that reads like an apologist post, down from the misleading title. Regardless of whether some fans flamed it up, the author should have known better. Even if we take him at his words that he simply likes every single piece of fan art (I personally don't buy it), it was still very unprofessional of him to not consider how fan of the series would feel see it through his account. There are thousands of serializing artists active on social media, yuri or otherwise, but we don't hear about they liking R18 fan art of their characters engaging in sexual acts with faceless men. The idea is that people want to see those kinds of images can seek them out elsewhere, and by following the authors you're only exposed to their own art or fan art that are more or less in line with what you read.
Do I think the author needs to be cancelled or harassed in any way over this? Absolutely not. And the accusation about the series ending in het is just silly. But people are understandably upset because, again, they don't expect to see hentai art of a character bookmarked by the original creator. It's even egregious in this case because yuri has long been plagued by people (both artists and readers) who mainly treat it as a fetish genre. At best, this episode demonstrates a lapse of judgement from the author. At worst, a cavalier attitude toward his own series, his readers, and possibly the genre as a whole. Ask yourself if he would have done the same thing if he was writing a hetero romance instead.
