Sendai extending a small olive branch by saying she was disappointment that they weren't in the same class when Miyagi lies and denies she wasn't disappointed that they were not in the same class (But Miyagi still hiding in her shell and trying to protect herself by not getting too close.)

A kiss scene between these two probably would take like another 15-20 chapters 'at least' from my guess??? I am just guess, seems to be slow-burn from what been reading and what I seen of the other comments' claims.

this story feels so stagnant and idek whats going on but it's hot so i shall be continuing to tune in

The story has progress, but it's a slow burn even in text form, and manga release isn't speeding up the pacing.

from the title i wasn't really expecting much but the pacing of this has been good so far, i was afraid it was gonna be some mild torture porn but i'm hooked! I'll definitely get into the WN

(Edit: directly after sending this comment, i read the first 100 or so chapters of the WN and i teared up a lot of times. and i still have a couple hundred more to read. lets just say i really hope the manga goes by without a hitch because there are a lot of beautiful scenes to be drawn! and do please give it a chance, it's slow burn... sloooooooow)

I can't wait for more chapters to come out so I got back to reading the novel(again) and caught up with the recent chapters.

both of them are still frustrating as ever but the development is so goooooood. Their shnu shnus are PEAK, especially ch381. It will probably take years before these scenes get adapted considering the pace of the manga's update.

i wonder how much more years for the confession part fck

true but one has to hope. i think it still has potential to sell well but it's tough to judge what moment will help the majority of yuri readers to latch onto it. right now the plot feels more shallow than it's letting on especially since because of the format, we don't get more of their inner monologue...

I think a parent should not be disappointed or at least neutral/somewhat happy with their kid as long as they get a somewhat decent paying job (Can be easy or hard depending on current economy) and isn't addicted to drugs or in a bad violent gang then they shouldn't any real reason to complain or have a right to be disappointed at all. I mean you can't have every one of your offspring getting the super S-Rank Genes for being academically super gifted or some other unique special talent like world class musician after-all...

They're becoming co-dependent in a really interesting way lol

The manga adaption is starting to win me over with the last few updates. The way perspective and expressions are used is doing a very good job communicating their feelings, but they also aren't afraid to do an infodump chapter like 9 if we lack clarity about what's happening.

In the novel version, we see Sendai decided against cram school, which is even more intensive. She still does after school classes partially to keep up appearances with her family. This makes it much less likely she would get into the high tier college. Even though it would have been unlikely regardless, we see her shedding some of the expectations placed on her a little bit here.

This is the sort of detail that should be dropped from a manga version, but I found it interesting, being from the US where no one I knew had after school classes.

I'm kind of glad Sendai's motives/feelings got spelled out like that. I still occasionally see WN readers struggle to understand why she keeps going back to Miyagi's room early on because everything's filtered through so much denial and repression in the text.
