This series is character of the week with a loosely connected plot and minor Nanako subplot so harem ending was the best way for it to end. It could have been better with interactions between other girls in the club but it was never structured that way.

My headcanon is that the other girls do have sex with each other, but that they won't if they get together with Miyako.

That's an awfully big harem though. I hope Miyako stays in shape!

They'll be keeping her in shape.

I feel like it would've made more sense for this to end without the whole "I love all of you 15 people equally" but instead an open relationship with Nakano and everyone else staying as friends with benefits. Would've fit way more to a series so singularly focused on casual sex.

Why were we teasing a genuine romance with Nakano if we are just going to do a harem ending?

I'm pretty dissapointed honestly

That’s the difference between a good story and a bad story… is what I would say, but even then it doesn’t make sense why ppl are upset.

This was hentai, why’d y’all even have expectations for a hentai?

Because the story set up expectations. Most of the girls were only after Miyako physically, some cared more for her as a person. And then there's the whole romance subplot that's just dropped

I think the author wanted/had to end it quickly, thought the romance wasn't developed enough and that there wasn't enough chapters left to do something conclusive.

So they went for a quick harem end. The ending arc dilemma was only 3 chapters it might have been something else if there was more.

You could have pulled an acceptable romance ending in three chapter imo

I felt like the harem was way too big

This is definitely one of the biggest ones I’ve seen lmao. Granted I don’t read many harems but I’m assuming this one is up there. She probably will never have to worry about money ever again considering she has like 15 people she can go to if she ever needs help

This reminds of how I recently heard someone complaining that 100 girlfriends has too many harem members, and further saying how it should have been 5 or 6 members instead. I really wanted to respond to them by saying, well the series isn't called 5 or 6 girlfriends

While people had a variety of expectations with this particular manga, at the very least that series says right up front that the end goal is 100 girlfriends, as it's literally in the title lmao

100 GF is goated AF

There’s 32 girlfriends but each one has completely different designs and a distinct enough personality that seperates them from each other

Where on this manga, I low-key forget about half the girls, and some of them just look too similar to each other (mainly with the black hair)

Yeah I can't really disagree there, only some of the characters in this are memorable for me. I think also this series runs into the common harem problem of the protag often being very passive. Which 100 Girlfriends I think gets praise because the MC of the series is one of the only harem protags that is date-able, and I think that's a question that needs to be asked more often "would I date the protag?". The protag of 100 going above and beyond to assist with the unique needs of each member of the harem is something I would have liked to see more in this manga. Also the harem members in 100 having tight bonds with other members of the harem is something that this series also needed more of.
