Looks like serialization isn't happening.
From what sometime was able to talk about, the feedback from both surveys and social media were positive enough to warrant a serialization, but the publisher had concerns it wouldn't fit the direction of the magazine. While there were talks of reworking the setting for serialization, sometime felt this would deviate from their vision too much and decided "this is it". They don't know what the future of this work will be, but for the time being, they'll wrap it up with some illustrations.
tl;dr Next chapter, which should come out soonish, will be the last at this point in time. Yes, I'm mad.
