Chapter 7 is really cute. Koharu and Kanna are cuties. Wonder about that cupid dude and if Kanna will explain more about cupid world. Chiyo is so spicy lol

Also, this chapter somehow hints more about the possibility (theory)of Kanna being Koharu and Aki's cupid before the accident happened. Like how she was supposed to make Koharu consider Aki's feeling more and developing it into crush when Aki confessed to Koharu.

I'm also leaning towards the hypothesis that Kanna was directly or indirectly responsible for Koharu not knowing love/becoming a cupid. Even if she has other less conspicuous reasons for prioritizing Koharu's needs over her own, Kanna's sense of responsibility towards her is a bit excessive for someone who's not being motivated by guilt or some other ulterior motive.

Could be she followed her around and just based her decisions on Koharus love advice. And she didn't want her to fall in love because it would make Koharu stop with all that. But the accident and her death made her feel guilty about all of that. I don't she was killed on purpose but just not made to fall in love by Kanna.

But still, hard to believe there were no other cupids around to do it. Sometimes they get the same target, and in the six years that Aki had feelings for her Koharu must have been a target for a whole long time and must have been picked by multiple cupids.

All those pigeons made me think of when Nokotan became increasingly enrobed in butterflies.

The whole resurrection goal feels really odd to me. A lot of the other cupids seem like they've been in this industry for a long time. Is the amount of karma each cupid need to collect different or something?

Well, as Kanna said, they also use their karma to buy their equipment and ammo. Also, sometimes Cupids have the same targets and a wrong choice results in no karma. So, it's a system set up to get them to work as long as possible, and at some point, do you even want to be resurrected, the people you care about might have aged way past you, the world changed so much you don't recognize it anymore, and what do you do? As a kid, where will you live, how will you pay for food, who will take care of you? You are going to be an orphan or homeless. To be eternally young and not have to care about the struggles of life and go bang bang boom without any collateral damage? sign me up.

Did the author think about all of that stuff or did they just want to write a cool action yuri? I don't know.

There's also survivorship bias, we probably won't see the cupids who chose to revive nor hear their motives or how the process was like for them.

And the system is self-sustaining, if there were no cupids left the new generation will form naturally, continuing the cycle.

I am leaning towards theory, that Kanna was somehow responsible for accident. And all karma she collected, might have took 5 years of cupidi-fication time.

It's unavailable on Amazon once again. I think it must be almost completely out of print now.

I'm so happy that this manga is starting to have fan art, and I'm even happier that the volume has been sold out and reprinted.

Try checking on twitter, there have been hundreds of very good fanart since the past month or so.

Lot of them are also posted on the discord, so you don't need to have twitter

I still can't believe the comic flapper editorial department tried to market this as action when drama and CGDCT are right there.
Ngl it'd probably perform better in a more shoujo oriented publication lmfao, thinking of Sabagebu

So like, when she gets resurrected, how will the people who knew her be affected? Aki has spent the last 5 years mourning, so when Koharu comes back looking like she hasn't aged a day, how is Aki going to mentally process that? Like, you can't just easily paper over that with memory manipulation. Even if you make her forget about Koharu's death, she's still going to be 6 years younger than Aki by the time she's alive again. Aki, who knows her primarily from being classmates in school. How is that gonna be rationalized? What about Koharu's parents? They had to bury their teenage daughter half a decade ago, but then she'll be back one day looking as if nothing happened? Mourning isn't something people just do privately, it affects major life decisions. So if you retroactively undo Koharu's death, all her loved one's actions since then won't make a whole lot of sense, even if you erase their memory of her dying. Without her death as context their remaining memories will still be nonsensical.
All this kinda makes me suspect that being resurrected is an empty promise that no cupid ever achieves.

The shortest answer is: wait until the story explains it lol
Every chapter so far has introduced or explained a piece of lore, with Chapter 8 showing that Cupids have extremely fast healing and can't die from physical trauma (according to Chiyo). What happens when a Cupid "returns" to their human life will likely only be covered when they meet a new Cupid who's close to filling their Karma Gauge or when one of the Cupids out of the main 4 fills up their gauge.

I don't know if I love or am pissed at Chiyo. Probably a bit of both. Little gremlin dork.
