We learnt that it's teh heavenly principles later. At start the traveler only say they got attacked by a unknow god. I don't remember if Venti outright tell us, or if it's Zhongli that confirm that the unknow gods and th eheavnly principle are the same

Unknown God was described as "Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles" not as Heavenly Principles themselves.

She is also expy not the same persona as Kiana. Hell story-wise Kiana as "HI3 main character Kiana" shouldn't even exist outside HI3 since she was modified clone/hybrid in that game. Genshin and HI3 (and Star Rail) universes are connected to each other but characters are just expies(with 2 exemptions).
