Basically, South Korea has a huge misogyny and s*xual assault/abuse problem that recently came to light, so Japanese women, and later also Chinese women, also fed up with the men of their countries, were like "To hell with men, let's just date each other", and so, #韓日百合 (Korean x Japanese Yuri), and later also #韓日中百合 (Korean x Japanese x Chinese Yuri) was born.
