Well in this case she has an eyepatch to kind of mock the trend. Chunibyo is about these characters that have 8th grader's disease (Chunibyo) which is a term used to describe embarrassing things you did when you were a kid like pretending you had some mysterious power or that you were overly special. So she has a "special eye" that she covers with that eyepatch.

Why is this 10-year-old doujin of a series that hasn't had any new media in 6 years on the "Most Popular of Past 7 Days" list? It's not a BAD one, and Madokami knows I already read it within the week it came out, but still.

Site glitch? View botting? Or just one/a few really, really dedicated fans inflating the view count "au naturel"?

^ I am as curious as you are. Sadly, we might never know, given that this site isn't really collecting any analytics to speak of. Preliminary research:

• There is no search interest to speak of about "DekomoRikka", in fact, me doing research made the google trends of this double.
• No outgoing links from any popular publicly crawlable board (i.e. 4Chan, Reddit, etc.) that could have lead here.
• Other sites hosting this (nhentai and a loads of aggregators) don't seem to have gained any traffic as expected from organic interest.

EDIT: It continues to gain views, about 4k since I intially posted.

I've been wondering the same thing since it showed up and ended up clicking on it today out of sheer curiosity, so maybe that's what's keeping it on top. That and the racy cover art.

It's botted for some reason. There's a botfarm somewhere that decided to click on it massively.
