Yup, Takahashi is machiavellian with no qualms murdering people to keep her secret, this is no surprise. But it's certainly a turning point in their relationship, as this means she's certain enough in her control over Itou that the later won't just grab a can of gasoline and matches.

I'm personally hoping Grandma takes a jab at her from behind instead of being a human meat shield, but I also don't think I'd have any qualms about Takahashi watching try and fail to act according to the other's normal.

I wonder if Takahashi is targeting Itou specifically because she's an outcast. Her persona as Takanashi means eyes are constantly on her, an outcast like Itou is always in the background and would allow her to indulge in her monstrous side much easier.

I honestly believe Itou won't just die or be killed by Takanashi until she at least kisses her. Takanashi admitted to being alone for such a long time and only masking amongst humanity as a survival skill. Itou is her only true friend because she knows she is a monster and I think she's just going to make jokes / tease Itou about killing her.

Well that was disappointing. It really gets to me when stories feature deceptive emotional manipulation, so now I'm hooked.

Now I want to know the back story of the real Ayaka Takahashi, who was apparently a real girl that she ate.

Also, thinking about whether it would make sense for Itou to end up being a monster too, in the end. I think it might, but I'd have to go back over the previous chapters again and check out her reactions to things.
