While I can't say for sure where the story is going, it seems kinda obvious (especially in this chapter, but the previous ones hinted it as well) that this is in large parts a character drama. Ami's behavior is too "clearly bad" to have no reason to exist given that this is fiction, and too distant from Rei to appeal to readers who just want a toxic relationship (there is that, of course, but it isn't the main focus).

You have to read this with curiosity towards why Ami acts the way she does, and wonder why Rei fell for her and how she will react as her eyes get open. Otherwise, there is no point in reading this.

The art ist cute, but I don't see any comedy (or romance). Ami really feels like a mean-spirited straight girl like someone said before. I guess she had a thing for her teacher and now behaves similar to her? But at this point, the only payoff I'm waiting for is a slap.

It sorta feels like a light-hearted netorare sitcom status quo. Ami "plays around" and lets Rei witness it, Rei gets heartbroken from being "cheated on", once she's teased with a bit of affection her doormat gene activates and she decides to stay with Ami, but instead of dealing with a depressing aftermath Rei's affection meter resets so the scenario can be experienced again in multiple flavors.

Rei is free to break off this relationship, or continue it.
