I didn't remember Fender being that expensive even when brand new but that was back in the good ol' days when gas was less than $1 per gallon most places (in the U.S.) and My Space was about the only social media. Since the genre took off there have been tons of campaigns by the religious nut cases to call the music devilish and corrupting. Dee Snider had to actually go before congress and tell them his music wasn't trying to cause an insurrection...which is hella ironic now.
