I don't get the whole rape being attractive thing. A woman struggling and saying no is pretty gross/scary.

:D :D In that case I have raped few girls by now (and I am a girl too). :D :D I think there are lots of girls who say no, just because they are embarrased. Anyone with a common sense can recognize if the girl really doesn't want it or is if she just says it for a show. :)

Girls can rape, you know. It's hardly unheard of.

And given how many people don't seem to understand the concept of consent, and the popular myth that rape involves a scary stranger dragging women into an alley, it's actually possible for people to rape but believe they didn't do anything wrong. So yeah, if you've had sex with someone saying "no" to you, or only saying "yes" because they're really drunk, then you might have.

Now this particular story could be different though, since as has already been mentioned it's customary in Japan, or at least Japanese fiction/porn, to have some token resistance before going ahead with sex. Hell, look at all the stuff that uses "I'm so embarrassed" as a stock phrase to indicate that sex is happening. And of course, the story is already set up as something that doesn't really happen in real life so at least you've got a little separation there.

Well, I sometimes sleep with girls that say no (usually if I know them very well and I am aware that they really want me), but I never sleep with drunk girls who I don't know very well because I don't want them to regret it in the morning. :) And I am also into BDSM and as such a person I am really very careful about consent. :) Because in my heart I am a "gentleman". :D :D And of course I know a girl can rape a girl but I don't think it's very common.

Rape in the queer community is more common than I think you realize.

I think that this notion of "no" being foreplay is a facet of rape culture. Coercing someone (which is what is happening in this manga) is anything but healthy consent. Last I checked Japan was a patriarchal society. Women can and are complicit in their own oppression, it is a component of their oppression. It would not surprise me that women anywhere in the world do say "no" as foreplay, but I do believe it is the duty of partners to have clear consent.

I get that this is fiction, but media matters, as is evidenced by the commenters who do not seem to understand consent. This kind of media reinforces really detrimental stereotypes/behaviours and I personally am tired of seeing this as a trope. And this isn't just a japanese thing, as Hana said, people all over the world definitely believe rape is a violent encounter with a stranger and the majority of the time that is not the case.

OK I'm probably wrong - but I think I heard somewhere that in Japanese culture woman should slightly resist even if it's consensual - to not be considered easy or something like that.
Might just have been said as excuse for a fetish.
Still, while it's questionable here, a "Noooo <3" with (sometimes even directly told) consent is incredibly common in h-manga.

In that case explain to me what the rape is according to you. I have always thought it means having sex against your will. Also I understand that having sex with someone drunk can be in a way considered a rape because the drunk girl is not sometimes aware what she is doing - though there can be people who could say, it's partially her fault because she shouldn't get drunk. But as I have said before I would never had sex with a drunk girl who I don't know very well, so that's definitely not my case. But having sex with a girl who willingly goes to your home, gets naked with you and has sex with you and after it for example says she regrets that's just stupidity. Also I think it would be stupid to let someone fuck you, if you don't want it in a case that person is not exactly forcing you - you should just resist and for example you should slap the person. So I don't really get how can there be a rape without violence (if we exclude drunk sex in this case)? And the girl in the manga seems completely willing to me - it's her girlfriend, she likes her, she is just embarrased, that's all. So I don't really get it why so many people are so obsessed that this manga which seems almost like a fluff to me contains rape. :D But maybe it bothers me so much because I like Mira's work, I think she has one of the best yuri hentai mangas I have have read so far and also I don't think that as long as it's fiction the violence is really a problem. :D In that case you are supposed to hate Murcielago because the main character is a real weirdo and pervert - and I personally love her. :D

Unerected.

Excuse me, is that English or Engrish? I can find Unerected, and when I separate the prefix un I got erect. But that doesn't make sense, since erect isn't using for people.

lol um. yes, erect is indeed used for people. males, and their specific anatomy to be exact ;) think the poster was saying, was that it was not a turn on? /shrug lol.

So it is turn on...

Chapter 3 was (partially) done, so I'm surprised to see it wasn't ever uploaded here. As per Procyon, it is missing 16 pages, but it does tell a complete story as-is, so I would hope it would be on the site. My tinyupload link is long dead, but I've reuploaded it to a new host. Password is 'dynasty'. I hope someone will put it on the reader.

I don't like rape even in fiction either, but this honestly didn't seem rapey to me. It was pretty good imo.
Edit: @Rei Ryghts, I don't know if you'll see this, but it's not possible to download that for free anymore. It's now a paid download. I can't pay for that (and even if I could, I'd use that site only to download that file, which would make paying a suubscription pointless). :c

just going to ignore the "rape thing" debate because I know they were both okay but did some shy foreplay

Mira is definitely good at these. It's their third manga I read and and starting to think they might get the spot of best manga author in my mind. Hehe.

Oddly enough, I am not a fan of BDSM but Mira's works are very enjoyable.

Also, lastly, PLEASE DO NOT DO THE DIRTY IN PUBLIC BATH XD

It's something that happens even in non-Japanese cultures. Like in my country it's absolutely common to hear about women being "passive" about relationships. When it's between a boy and a girl, It's pretty much considered a stigma for women to make the first move and that we have to pretend to not have interest for a bit (though that outlook has begun to change in recent times).

For cases between women... well... based on experience, it's almost the same. Especially when neither of you know who should make the first move
(Not that I have much experience to speak of anyway)

HOLY COW!!! Mira is a total perv! Seriously where were the girl's like her when I was in highschool. I mean it's obvious I wouldn't have had a chance with her, but It would have been awesome to have just been friends with a girl who shared the same interest for the ladies as I did.
