Aya x Sei will be dead in the water!
A spicy take for a spicy manga.
Or to put it simply in Flowerchild Ueda's words (yes she really said it on her twitter page): "There is no such thing as a detached relationship!"
And I'm pretty sure there won't be a detached relationship left at the end. It didn't last with Yoru, it didn't last with Sakai and it won't persist as such with Aya. In light of all the content available on DR, my money's on a proper, "attached" relationship as the resolution, though the Isekai-Express variant (only for Sei) and a hard cutoff aren't out of the question as well. Continuing the former status quo in the form of a "detached relationship" seems the least likely ending to me.
or simply try: Aya x Haruki & Sei x Mochida
Edit: After yet another timeskip...
if there were like 1 or 2 volumes maybe but there is literally 1 or 2 chapters left. That's way too damn short of time to reverse the dynamics and the ships like that.
In case you haven't noticed Aya already knows that her relationship with Sei can only end one way that is the reason why she is actually testing Haruki thinking she is the same (the many similarities she shares with Kurosaki are not a coincidence). So once Haruki tells her part in all of this and then hands her her smartphone and walks away she basically proves that she wanted her as girlfriend not a fuckbuddy and has the capacity for growth, moving on instead of being stuck in the past and being a coward unlike Sei whom she gave the chance to be the better person! The last chapter will be Aya reuniting with Haruki after a timeskip. Likewise with Sei... Mochida (despite flaws and her own hipocrisy) is still correct unlike Hosono (so Mochi will ditch him) which is the reason why she hopefully decides to end things with Aya for good if she doesn't she never learned a thing and unlike Yoru deserves what she gets!
believe it or not the author pulled something similar in Hungry for You: Endou Yasuko stalks the Night! I own both volume's!
Probably just leave that here. Ithink we clearly don't read the manga. I don't even know how you come to that conclusion after that chapter.

I'll have some of whatever you're having, please. Must be really good stuff.
It's headcanon after the reader's bell has been rung.
This comment section is making me understand the manga less, and I'm the translator. Good job.

Chapter 4: Aya: The moment she called me by a different name... It was then that I agreed to be the replacement, and I immidiately strated to regret it.
Yeah... that's no foreshadowing.
Seriously just read why friends with benefits is a bad Idea in the first place.

Friends with benefits especially the one depicted in this manga is a really bad idea?

You talk about something happening in chapter 4, this is chapter 18. The characters have changed since then. Last chapter as made clear that Aya want to help Sei get over her past love, so they can have a better relationship. I don't even begin to see what lenght Haruki will had to go to conquer Aya, if Aya want a normal relation with Haruki in the first place because given last chapter, her relation with Haruki would be as bad as her one with Sei.
And even if FwB is a bad idea, who care ? That's their relation.

You’re whistling into the abyss of someone’s delusional headcanon, Lilliwyt.
And a very deep abyss it seems to be.

Aya definitely has not changed for the better she is forcing herself into a situation that will leave her heartbroken just like it did in the very first chapter when she decided to grab Sei's left hand first. As for Haruki all the stuff she preached in beginning? She decides to practice it in the end! Unlike Aya who not unlike Sei is basically trying to win no matter the cost to her sanity because she simply cannot accept loss that all her "efforts" were all for nothing from the start! Haruki's character arc is accepting loss and walking away this is how she will save her idiot friend! In case you haven't noticed contrary to what Aya and Sei want to believe and project onto her she says screw it to FwB!
As for the Friends with Benefits thing Yoru suggested this to Sei who jumped at the chance thinking she could make it work and have Yoru fall for her and of course it did not happen. As for Aya? Remember her speech on the roof in ch3 when she talked about skipping formalities and not being normal indirectly blaming Haruki for never dealing with her own problems? Yup she thinks naivley the FwB stuff will work out too just like the goddamn love stories from her novels! She cannot fix Sei!
Edit: Hate to say it but failure is the only option for this relationship! Even "attached" this relationship has no future! Wrong is still Wrong even if Mochida is a flawed hypocrite herself she has point!

Yeah, i think i will stop. They are too deep in their own interpretation.
I do wonder what’s going to happen with Mochida now that she’s had her sexual awakening.... is she going to confront Sei for this too? It seems like a lot is going happen in two chapters.
There’s the whole Sei x Aya talk along with Haruki’s stuff, which makes me think Aya will also be talking to Haruki at some point as well....
Maybe there’ll be a time skip epilogue to close out properly?
Still... sad it’s going to end. Feels like it’s too soon. I quite enjoyed the ride.... hope this gets picked up in English so I can own a copy.

chapter 19 is so damn HOT !
I have been waiting for this moment for so long…
I am so happy for Aya and Sei >//////<
So I guess that means raws are out? Nice, looking forward to the release.
!!!! Can't wait
No idea what last chapter was about having a role switch after so much shit happened is hilarious.

well it's all coming full circle it the same thing all over again if you ask me... that is just depressing...
seeing that flowerchild tweeted on the 17th that next chapter is going to be the last one, wonder how this is going to even end at this point lol

I don't really see you guys' problem. I'd come to terms with it ending soon after the previous chapter went an tied up quite a few plot strings rather quickly. Would have been cool if those strings had been played out a bit longer.
It's coming full circle in some ways, but not really.
Aya's actually become a forceful lover that has no qualms imposing upon others, so in that regard she has taken on traits we saw with Sei in the beginning. However, she's a strong person of her own, willing to do what it takes in order to get Sei out of her mind's prison. She's motivated by a desire to help someone else heal, not so much by covering up her own suffering and filling a void within her.
Sei wants to stay away from Yoru and move on, but can't bring herself to do that on her own, so Aya takes an appropriately forceful stand and "assists" her in that pursuit. Her hard, confident facade was thoroughly torn down after the encounter with Yoru.
I will say that I hadn't expected Sei to be so "intact" and composed, and obviously Aya was of the same opinion.

Yeah and? It still the same stuff I see honestly no difference here! Aya is still not her real self (that one is in the trashbin) she is just somebody else now brainwashed and plays the same role she had with Sei at the beginning I don't see any real difference. Sei never needed others to heal she is the one who is at fault for her own misery running from life her parents and being in such relationships where she ruins others in the first place! She wanted Yoru to be her toy obedient only to her and not much as a person that why she began destroying her life in school as soon as she was rejected after her first confession so I have Zero pity for her! At the end Aya just fills the role of her "ideal fantasy Yoru" and nothing else shitting on Haruki just cements this! Oh you did so well Aya here have a better looking key than the last one I gave you! Those wonderful patterns again! Have a timeskip where it ends and they went separate ways!
Edit: Look I hate to say this but this kind of relationship is why there will be no healing! That's why they must stop! There is nothing else but walking away from this kind of thing! That is the only ending that I see! Aya do what Haruki says and go back to your real self!

Ah the classic "everything gets resolved somehow in the end", ignoring the direction of the characters all throughout the story. It's weird how docile and even nice Sei is acting here, in contrast to all of the manga and even two chapters ago when she was being predatory and sick. It's kinda similar to the trope of "bad boy with rape tendencies gets cured by the mere power of love".
However, she's a strong person of her own, willing to do what it takes in order to get Sei out of her mind's prison. She's motivated by a desire to help someone else heal, not so much by covering up her own suffering and filling a void within her.

What I'd like to have seen from this manga would be Sei's background. I still don't understand why she was so obsessed with Yoru to the point of developing a predatory character towards minors because of that.

Well Ueda made sure to make my blood boil so nice job there I guess?

I don't think it's healing. It's Aya mindfucking the Yoru out of Sei. Still, she replaces a toxic mindset with another toxic mindset. But I guess these characters are broken and there is no cure for them. Just replacing an obsession with another.
First off: I really appreciate your style of writing.
I also agree with some of your observations, but not necessarily with your conclusions. I would have very much approved of more content about broken Sei, her turnaround came a bit easy indeed, even though it really was a predictable outcome.
Framing Aya as "mindfucking the Yoru out of Sei" (I love it!) as "not healing" is a bit off the mark, though. She's indeed replacing a downright toxic mindset with what could turn into a problematic obsession. On the other hand it stands to reason that clinging to Aya is way less problematic than clinging to Yoru. The former wants to be with Sei, stay with her and support her, while the latter has done her best to remove herself from Sei's life, understandably trying to live her own life rather than dedicate a lot of effort to fixing a broken ex-lover.
What I'd like to have seen from this manga would be Sei's background. I still don't understand why she was so obsessed with Yoru to the point of developing a predatory character towards minors because of that.
I'd have very much liked that, as well.
