Hm...this ending felt very meh to me, but I guess there is still hope. I really liked the characters. Yuri really doesn't sell, even less so if you dare to do anything different from the usual bland school girl setting.

almost feels like the ending ruined the whole series.

It's called "subverting expectations".

Just because something you didn’t expect happened doesn’t make it good. This manga could have ended with scat porn and that would’ve “subverted expectations”

I don't think that particular comparison quite holds here...

W-what.

This ending needed WAY more lead in. It's a fine idea, but the author didn't set this up well enough at all.
I kinda get that the flashbacks were intended to key us into something? But
Look, it's just really abrupt. Like we were being lead along at a rather particular pace and suddenly the rug got yanked out from under us. Was this cut prematurely?

I hate it when series' get axed, the abrupt ending is always either unsatisfying, horrible, or just doesn't make sense. To all the posts before this... please read author's notes, they're important a lot of the time. Hah, sadness.

What the shit? I was just starting to enjoy it, the worldbuilding was surprisingly good, and then I noticed the tragedy tag. They really had to pull that shit, huh. I don't even really understand what happened it was so fast, but I still kinda enjoyed this while it lasted.

From the postscript, seems the author was just as surprised as the readers.

Given the time and energy the author invested into the series, I have to believe it hurt when it got axed. I wonder if the tone of the last chapter was a way for the author to convey what they might've felt to the readers. Shocked, confused, and a little hurt. Just my wild speculation, of course.

I know this was a fantasy setting...but you say that when it was still about moe-loli-school girls, seems a bit silly to me. We've also been in a time of Office Lady Yuri being popular and selling well (at least for Yuri) for at least a couple years now.

Another thing, given that this was a Yuri Hentai-Comedy I honestly believe your ire is better placed on the fact that stories with "ugly-bastard" dudes are far more popular in the hentai world than anything Yuri related. The Yuri community shouldn't be divided based on personal preferences and tastes imo.

It can be pretty good story. I remember "honey trap" with this kind of bittersweet ending .But we never know(.

I assume you mean Honey Crush. Honey Trap is the ex-general from Hero-san and Former General-san.

Dammit I'm gonna have to reread that and make myself sad again, aren't I?
