Prostitution in literature generally has darker undertones regardless of whether the sex worker (or characters) see it as just a side gig or not. I guess mangaka's trying to show sometimes love can grow between customer and provider within the limiting confines of the, mostly apathetic, sex business. I love the art and the premise has so much potential that I hope the mangaka continues this. As a one-shot, it's fine. It has decent gay sex and nicely drawn anatomy.

That was kinda stupid IMO. The "we can't be together" was self inflicted. Who cares about your company? Who cares about being barred from using a specific escort service? A fine? Who do they think they are?

And Ringo doesn't even need that money. She has a day job.

There was a vague Cinderella theme, but it was awkwardly set up.

So, the scenario was dumb, even if the characters were cute.

I doubt an actual Italian neighborhood, but in Tokyo years ago I found an indoor mall made up to look like an Italian village.

I'm Italian, I can assure you we're everywhere and in the most unexpected places. A small Italian neighborhood in Japan does not sound so strange to me lol
