Which is a nice moment of irony since she was telling her girlfriend earlier that there’s no reason to get scared of anything fictitious or imagined since it’s not real, yet when she imagines herself and her girlfriend in the position of the characters in the movie, she becomes terrified at even the prospect of losing her girl in such a way and realizes that fiction can indeed induce real terror.

Ah so she didn't care before because she wasn't in love. Now that she's in love with her, she can't help but imagine how painful it would be if her girlfriend was in the position of the heroine of the movie. I agree though, love does make you worry more and can't help but be concerned about things that might or might not happen.

Knowing Murasakino, I figured the twist would be that one of the girls was deliberately exposing the other to horror in order to foster dependency and exert control, but this ended up being surprisingly wholesome. The art is excellent as always, and Murasakino excels at conveying complex emotions through monosyllabic conversations and tiny gestures. Their work has a certain misty detachment to it, like the embodiment of shower thoughts or déja vu, and it combines with the art to make everything they create incredibly distinctive.

TBH compared to a lot of the other stuff Murasakino made, this is downright fluffy.

Right?! Also, I noticed this in about the 3rd re-read or so, Nanami used emit an aura of flowers around Yuuna at the start of the manga. But after the (subtle) time skip, she emits hearts around her.
