This was nice. I loved how moody the shading and backgrounds were, and the way they just evaporated when our two leads hugged each other. Really nice use of environmental storytelling to express states of mind. I like how the story ties together Natsuka's feelings for Mayu with her depression, but doesn't just default to the manic pixie dream girl trope or to the tragic lesbian one. There's a comfortable sense of ambiguity throughout, and it's great how this author conveys supportiveness as a flexible, attentive attitude rather than a five-page, hyper-rational argument about why Life is Precious and Suicide is Bad, which so many stories fall into. All in all, a fairly feel-good story that never gets too preachy or overstays its welcome.

Let it be an encouragement to youngsters who lost the will to fight for their future.

Sometimes you don't need to hear someone telling you not to kill yourself, you just need someone offering to be there with you

That was really wholesome and sweet.

She didn't want her girlfriend to die or feel depressed about her life anymore. So instead of trying to talk her out of it, she decided to show her why she should stay.

And the heavens opening up to give her another reason (lightning and thunder interrupting their alone time) was also nice.

Sex makes life worth living.

(Actually, life with someone you love who loves you back is sufficient, but sex sweetens the deal considerably.)

yep.

This brings memories for me (I had to deal with teenage suicide prevention waaaay to much for my own peace of mind back in the day - no details because not my blog). The method she used to stop her friend from havng suicide thoughts is maybe a tad extreme, but hey, if it works, it works.

Do we have a tag for good riddance of aaaaaangst? Because this needs one.

Who doesn't like a good happy ending?

I don't think anyone's taking this as a how-to guide for anything related to mental health, but yes, it is important to have a DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME disclaimer on something like this, which neither the author nor the scanlators seemed to bother to do.
