Ahh yes French, the stand in for English when localising Japanese stories.

I kinda feel like we are the Winners in these scenarios

Same same (≧▽≦)

Everytime i see a mermaid/siren with a tail that bends like THIS [ |_ ] i feel the cringe going down my spine...
(Mermaid's down part is like a fish, and fish's spines can't do that |_ thing like humans do. Even tho they don't exist, there's still some kind of logic to them, i just feel a lil unconfortable/confused ^^')
(Explaining 'cause i don't want ppl going nuts on me for no reason again k)

^Once in childhood I saw a cartoon where merfolk had more dolphin-like tails & their movements seemed a lot more realistic. (It was either American or Canadian.) Lettuce in Tokyo Mew Mew is like that too.

Yes. IDK about your neck of the woods but 'round here Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS is still something of an occasionally referenced running gag, in a "legendary turkey" way.

Little Mermaid meets Gini piggu 4/6 (in west it's 4 but in Japan it's 6) but it doesn't end gore.

HMMMMMMMMM

A cool read still. Would work amazing as a full series.

For those who don't know, Guinea Pig/Ginī Piggu is a series of ultra gore Japanese movies, most were made in 1980s and are directed by Hideshi Hino, as well as based on his horror manga. More here.

Page 5: "Ana used splash...Mais rien ne se passe."

I want THIS to be serialised!

PS: Considering that anime and Manga are extremely popular in France, i think using french was a good choice on the translator part.

First of all, I'm amazed by how deep the water was when she fell from the pier. They must have built it right next to a giant sinkhole or something.

Secondly, how does one watch anime underwater?

Enough waterproofing. o3o

...or simply don't and watch it (or at least have the gear) on dry land instead; these things are clearly pretty amphibious. ┐( ツ)┌

I have it on good authority that they've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty, whozits and whatzits galore.

Cute one-shot. With the title and premise though it seemingly could've potentially striven to be an ongoing story.

Can you not assume that English speaking people know French. This is just gibberish.

If a few random bits of widely-known phraseology render it "gibberish" to you I daresay the issue is found between the proverbial keyboard and chair instead.

We specifically chose words that are either relatively well-known or are very similar to English. I don't know French, but I still managed to understand all the French words and phrases we used here.
