^The official art work is intentionally Halloween themed, so I think it's Marie dressing up as Red Riding Hood for Halloween. I'm probably going to explain it poorly but here goes, last year in Japan the 4th Anniversary had a physical in person event to celebrate. It had various different sections with different themes, and one of them was a Halloween themed area, that official art for Marie is art designed for that area. Hopefully this makes some amount of sense, and I'm not just rambling madly.

@SushiKnight: She has the drills in this as well. The straight bits of hair in the front are the same as they in the official art, the drills are mostly in the back and we can kind of see a glimpse of that in this art. The reason why the official art has "more" drills is only because the camera angle is different and we can't see the drills as easily in this compared to the official art.

Good to see I'm still strong in artist's preferences, as it should be since I'm the only canon of this entire game, yes!

@EvangelineClariss: You should keep in mind that the Nanoha series is several years older than the Madoka series, so it's not surprising that Madoka art is hanging on while Nanoha art is slowly fading.

This is so cute! I’m bi so seeing someone else with the biflag is always really exciting cause I know I can relate to them. This comic really speaks volumes with zero words. And cat ears are used in a lot of comics to show surprise or other emotions so I think that’s probably the case here.

So what's up with the "otome VN isekai" genre that is, apparently, a thing? Like, it's cool and all, I'm more interested in getting some more of that than I am getting another of the average power trip fantasy isekai that seem to crop up like a bad rash. I just don't understand the sudden popularity. Was it an untapped market finally being recognized or what?

^Probably some studios were trying to come up with ways to spice up the Isekai genre after how similar they were all becoming and experimented with adapting reverse harem novels. I'm sure a lot of people were just happy to see a different take
