Unfortunately the manga differs just enough that it would be best to read it from the beginning. On a good note though there is a lot more Yuri in the manga.

One page in and I'm already introduced to some Sumireko Banba action. Thank you Yuri goddess.

Banba and Sumire are slowly becoming my fav ship. Also that Nio in the begining and fixing that anime plot hole about Romeo and Juliet.

They've been my favorite ship since that chapter where takechi was bullying banba and she stood up for her. Sumireko was so cool and pretty!

Man I love the manga but I am just so impatient to get to the second arc where the anime left off (assuming there is one and we're not gonna get shafted with that being the end of the manga as well)

The manga and anime will be covering just this one Arc, the anime didn't leave off, it completed the story based off of notes and outlines from the author. Basically the only reason to read the manga is for the better character interaction and development.

Geez the SumiBamba in the manga is killing me, the other difference is that Shinya showed up very often in the anime and as much as I liked her scenes its better this way I'm not a fan of the whole "in your face" troupe.

The manga is super gay: Suzu is still in touch with Kouko, Isuke went tsundere on Haruki and Shiena x Otoya subtext will probably show up later too(hopefully)
