And yeah, echoing the above Dad simply has her beat in raw experience (plus he's shed the various self-imposed limitations whose remnants Yurika still clings to - such as shame). Near as I could tell his shenanigans here were overwhelmingly motivated by sheer curiosity about how their ladykiller abilities actually compare plus maybe a roundabout desire to remind his daughter she still has ways to go. Trickster Mentor kind of thing.

I'm tolerably sure he was mainly curious to see how Yurika handled serious competition and how their ladykiller abilities compare. Once he had her measure he basically just walked off after all.

Even if you assume the motivation behind that is benign it's still a shitty reason to do it

Incidentally looking at it there's an interesting methodological difference Dad himself lampshades; Yurika (and for that matter Akane) can "brute-force" their seduction by sheer charisma and looks even when their targets know they're being taken for a ride, but he can - and has to - employ sufficiently sophisticated technique to not raise alarms the same way. Technician Versus Performer sort of thing I guess plus he has to compensate with skilled acting for his age and default suspicions about his intentions too.

Call me old fashioned, but this is porn about lesbians written by two dudes, right? The general lack of proper handling of even alarmingly sensitive topics shouldn't be too surprising

I feel like people calling Yurika a lesbian are forgetting 90% of the story and her character. She clearly likes men and is shown to only use her powers on women to get what she wants. Her being a lesbian now wouldn't make sense. Either the author is a bad writer and doesn't know to write someone realizing their sexuality or just made Yurika become a lesbian because she will never get a guy. Either way is terrible.

^She's a poorly executed bisexual. She realized she was bi halfway through. She still wants a husband but honestly the only one who would marry her is Saori. Because Yurika is a fun time not an honest commitment for most of them.

Yurika is still in quite some denial about the effect she consistently has on guys. Though that may arguably be a facet of the same stubborn streak that leads her to invoke her Power of Gigolette against all comers - having set her mind on something (in this case bagging a hubby) she just refuses to back down from the challenge regardless of the apparent odds stacked against her.

Which in this case happen to be about insurmountable.
