For me, my favorite was Miki x Seina (even if Senpai was sometimes a bitchpai to her little kouhai). Every couple worked for me except the track club senpai couple (can't even bother to remember their names.), honestly they had no connection, even the type of running they did was different. Not saying that you have to have something in common to be in love but they obviously were falling out of love from the very beginning of the game; if they were even in love in the first place and watching them dump all of their emotionless baggage on the kind and understanding Hina was overall, painful to watch... they just do not have the same unique spark and synergy as the other couples have, because the only thing they have in common is their stubbornness and hot headedness that prevents them from admitting they don't love each other. Even the sleepy kuudere girl x energetic eccentric glasses girl had more of an impact on me, and they were just 'friends' (though, wish they were more). Another two problems was, One: The spirits tainted the hina x yuna ending with their possession sex that took advantage of Yunas determination to solve other people's problems and Hinas elusive kindness. Two: Teach taking a metaphorical dump on her student that loves her (though, said student would probably like a real dump from her teacher, the little deviant...), calling it a "phase" and getting petty, demeaning her for being more mature than her childish teacher. But, in short, Hina and Yuna are not as popular than the other couples for several reasons: the track senpai playing monkey in the middle with Hina and Yuna, the Spirits ruining their first time (because they just wake up naked, leaving fans thinking that they were just used and they could have had a more romantic first time), but finally and most importantly: Nonchalance. They were so cool headed that while it worked for them and the fans, their relationship took a back seat to the other couple's cartoonish plot armour that allows them to act wacky and, well, manga-like, while Hina and Yuna are dealing with IRL romance that's still out there and you can't help but think that they would be more popular if they had their own game of just them as a couple, like comparing apple and oranges. It's like if morinaga milk's 'Girlfriends' couple starred in the edgier 'Citrus'. You would obviously be split down the middle in your interests.
