[LOUD SIGH] I actually saw the raws 2 days ago, the wait was killing me and I said "now I can wait for doki! :D" ... I should've waited just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit longer, aaaahh aaahh yare yare daze.
ANYWAY! those are some amazing color pages for the fighting game XP thank you very much for the new chapter, is surprising, things went way better than expected (I was actually worried to have a long emo phase) except for Yun of course, I didn't expect that reaction.

Frankly, it looks like Yun is gonna win this one, and while I'd love that because of the lovely HajimeYun development, it means Aoba will have to wait until the next new game they make to prove to Kou that she really got better than when she left, and I'm not sure if the manga will run that long, they already covered multiple volumes with just making 2 games.

Finally some good Hajime x Yun content. Also, I hope Yun can keep at it!

Normally, I'd want Aoba's art to win, just because she is the protagonist and similar stuff. But since this is Hajime's game, I kind of want to see Hajime and Yun make the game together, while Aoba can do her rivalry with Momiji in the background.

Also, more Rin x Kou please mangaka-san. We were left on kind of a cliffhanger of their psuedo-date in Paris. Please FEED ME MORE!

am i the only one that though Momiji's art was the worst of the 3? Yuns was the best in my opinion funny enough.

Momiji's was my least favorite as well. I like Aoba's art style the most, but I also kinda think Yun's designs seem the most fitting for the game that they're trying to make.

I dont like that Momoji won the competition, its not that i dislike her but in my opinion her art wasnt the best of the three, its feels forced by the author to make Momojis that "wall" for Aoba to surpass, even though Aobas art was much better.

The author really forced in Momiji winning, probably just to give each character a chance in the spotlight, without even trying to have it make narrative sense.

He kind of spends the entire rest of the arc trying to clean it up.

I guess it's the author's own limitation in style and skill to show the real difference between 3 skilled artist, specially because Rin, Aoba and Momo have similar styles and you have to make a story telling that one is clearly better than the other while keeping your manga in the same Moe style... So it is frustrating but we have to believe their words maybe more than our eyes, Yun was the only truly different and really coming up with something fresh like Splatoon... Too bad she lost.
I just hope the author doesn't make more awkward moments like this one... It took some time to recover from the last one.

Yun was robbed.

Yeah, Momiji winning it felt weird, considering she basically copied Yun concept and Hazuki explained earlier the reasons why Yun should have been picked with how close their design were (being the one who came up with the idea, having more experience and so on). Heck, even Momiji felt she should have lost this one.

It really feels like Yun was robbed of the victory when she's the one being the whole urban style/turf war concept, but I suppose this is the lot of being a secondary character when the author was focusing mostly on the Aoba/Momo rivalry... The fact that she was the first eliminated when she actually brought the project this way was frankly unfair in my opinion.

Personally, I think it would have been more interesting for Yun to win this : it would have given her a boost in confidence that she really need, seeing how she feels stuck in her career and forced both Aoba and Momo to stop for a while and consider why they lost this one, giving her more chance to grow outside of having someone to be a rival.

Honestly, there are so many issues with this chapter, both logically and narratively, if I started on it I could write entire essays on it. (Which I ended up doing in several other places...)

For example, (Paraphrased)
Hazuki: "You admit your copied your designs from Aoba. So there's no reason to pick you over Aoba."
Also Hazuki: "Well, pick whoever you want, idgaf. Hurry up and do it right at this moment, with no discussion or advice. While Aoba's still up front with her presentation."
(Several chapters earlier: "Hazuki, you're staying on the team as an advisor to cover for Hajime's inexperience.")
Hajime: "I know who I should pick in this situation, but I'm not going to."
Christina and Rin: (nothing)

Everyone involved seems to be acting terribly irresponsibly. Hajime is even self aware about it but still does it.

I really don't get the author anymore...

When Aoba was competing against Yagami it was like: Yeah, Aoba did well, but the company really doesn't give a shit about anyone other then the established lead character designer to promote their works, despite how good they are.

Now it's like: yeah we don't give a shit. You're an unknown 3D artist in our company nobody knows you, you're leading the new game, just pick anyone. Even the newbie. We really don't give a shit about anything....

I think I'll put this on hold... the first part was good, but nowadays I don't think the author has any idea what to do with their work and just keeps producing more and more crap...

Momiji's employment contract doesn't actually begin until she graduates. She's technically still an intern.

Yeah this latest arc just feels very blehhh. I'm ready to move onto the next storyline now.
