Somewhere in the world, it is winter. Not here, though, the heat is killing me.

MakiUmi isn't an uncommon ship, and it makes a lot of sense in context. For one thing, as composer and songwriter they spend quite a bit of time alone with each other so they've got plenty of opportunity to get to know each other. They're both fairly reserved people, but that feeling of safety could embolden Maki and have her drop some of her defensiveness.
