The artist does have an earlier 4koma work that's not anywhere near as lewd, just two yuri couples and shenanigans. Not the same characters though.

This series has such a vibrant and dynamic art style, and such a relentlessly positive energy, I really love it.

I feel it. It's the portrayal of childhood realism as something magical in it of itself. I totally get that. And like how Hobbes being a stuffed tiger that we see as a real one is like how this author uses size difference to make the sex feel even more intense. God I love hentai analysis. Yeah, it's pretty clear that a lot of the sex in this work (and in the previous work) is het sex but with two girls. (Lesbians doing it doggy-style without a strap-on? wat?) And normally I'd be all eye-rolly at that.

But these two are just so charming and cute and lovey-dovey that I'm okay with the sex not really making a ton of physical sense.

And yes, to echo some of the other comments, I have read lots of hentai, and I have rarely seen anything like this, where there is such clear and obvious affection and romance between the characters, and also such sheer, unbridled, uncontrollable lust. The non-stop fucking is just how they show their love, and it's awesome. The bit where Senpai says that she's gonna masturbate in the morning while watching Kaya sleep, and Kaya's response is "Wow. That's my Senpai." and she's clearly happy about it. Just loved those little touches.

Don't have to much further than someone like みら or ビアチカ (wish I saw people translate their stuff at all) to prove you wrong. One of my favorite artists is うめぐみ, a woman that draws her characters with very odd proportions and doing weird sexual positions.
