This story was meh.

The one thing I don't understand is why Kanata claimed she wasn't real. Aside from that, excellently done - I didn't see the twist coming, but it's otherwise completely consistent with everything before.

Yeah, I agree. Too short to really care about the characters, plus she wasnt believable as an NPC. Just drama for the sake of it.

Why would a game like this exist? How would zombies survive on their own, and be able to play these 3d games? So many questions

Maybe the zombies are the kind that are able to eat other animals? They adapted once humans became extinct (betcha this is a big underground lie though.)

The state of the human race here is ambiguous. The game's title refers to "extinct human race", but then the guy says "humans ARE things we hunt and eat." Maybe it's like Planet of the Apes where the surviving humans are different somehow than they were before?

I was completely sucker punched by that twist.
