Okay, I'm with Umi. I know what honmei and giri cocolates are, but what the hell IS 'tomo-chocolate'?
Literally "friend chocolate". It's basically the middle-tier where it's not given with romantic intent of honmei (true feeling) chocolate, but most likely has more effort put into it then giri (obligatory) chocolate.
For example, if your honmei was a handmade chocolate heart and your giri was just individually wrapped storebought chocs, the tomo would be probably be something like a bag of mini-chocs from the leftover chocolate used for the honmei. Showing your friends that you care without neccessarily wanting to trib them senseless.
Though NozoUmi would be interesting to see in that regard
