Well now, mixing it up can be pretty amazing. One of the best fics I've read was Honoka x Yukiho x Arisa, and I was really hesitant to even try it based on the pairing alone.

I really love when this author's HonoKotoUmi, though, and how Umi admits to herself that they're the ones who have her heart. I'd love to see them do a full story with the three of them going out sometime.

Literally "friend chocolate". It's basically the middle-tier where it's not given with romantic intent of honmei (true feeling) chocolate, but most likely has more effort put into it then giri (obligatory) chocolate.

For example, if your honmei was a handmade chocolate heart and your giri was just individually wrapped storebought chocs, the tomo would be probably be something like a bag of mini-chocs from the leftover chocolate used for the honmei. Showing your friends that you care without neccessarily wanting to trib them senseless.
Though NozoUmi would be interesting to see in that regard
