Yup I just thought Maki got a msg from Nozomi saying she wouldn't be back soon - so since they'd be home alone they could fool around.

As for them having cat x bat hybrid babies - aren't they just meant to be human witch assistants? The bat and cat ears are clearly headbands - it would of been easy to make them 'real' ears if the author wanted but they drew them with the bands visible.

Well, we already have a NicoMaki Science Babies tag... from Tomo no less. And any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic... So it's still possible ^_^
