I'm not that familiar with Touhou, but that mask reminded me an awful lot of Hei's from Darker than Black.

I really like the Touhou references here although there should have been a Hibari x Akina moment, considering their characters.

And I don't know how Konatsu or Amy missed Akina there.

Konatsu was much too focused on Akina's chest to pay any attention to the rest of her, I think. That and I guess she did kept the mask on whenever facing those cameras/friends.

This would make more sense if Hibari and Kaede's costumes were swapped. And that mask thing was weird (I think it was the one from Darker than Black?)

Out of curiosity - on the credits page he says Marisa is 'basically' the main character in Touhou - would most fans say that?

I mean I know she is right up there in the top 3 for sure but if you had to name one character as the main wouldn't it be Reimu?

Basically dual mains. If you had to choose only one, it'd most likely be Reimu, but the two of them are really equally the main characters.

The wrong thing about the credit page is this line:

...all of characters from the "Scarlet Devil Mansion"...

Which is false as Alice is not a member of the SDM cast. Alice is a weird case where she is grouped with the main characters despite not being a main character.

I just realized this chapter is kind of a call back to the mangaka's doujin days

The mangaka is putting little to no effort in hiding his unrelenting love for the mighty toehoes

Always love the Touhou references. I've always considered Reimu the main protagonist. The whole Hakurei bloodline an all that, plus she's beast in almost every single popularity contest.

Alice isn't part of the sdm crew nor in eosd but there's so much where you see her practically living there its easy to put her in with them. If you were gonna do it right, I guess you'd have to go back to pc-98 with Shinki an gang.
