Even if for some reason it is capable of production semen it doesn't mean that it is semen capable of insemination. Then again we are talking about futa where they just happen to grow penis overnight so I'd say, if it can shoot sperm it can impregnate as well.

As a futa scholar myself, I can say that the rule of thumb is that a futa dick has exactly the same functions and capabilities of a real one. Is pretty rare for an author to do different.

But it can shoot only XX spermatozoa.

My theory is that when a girl becomes futa or if they're born futa, they develop internal testicles near their ovaries with sperm resistant to higher temperatures so it won't die inside their body, I also have theory that characters who produce inhuman quantities of semen and milk, or any other fluid, have a slighter different biology, instead of exhaling air like us their body takes the exhaled carbon dioxide and converts it into any necessary fluid during sex, since that would require a lot of energy that makes any extra fat in their body to be used to produce the required energy, that's why girls and guys are pretty much always fit with perfect bodies, in case of fat guys, normally delicious fat rapists, they're fat exactly because they need to replace all the fat used during that process... To be honest, it's the futa stories where the girl comes off as more "trans-like", such as that HonoMaki one, or where it's a magic/science dildo with extra function as you say, such as in Happy Cherry 2, where I can accept the idea most easily. The ones where it's just the artist is clearly going "I want a dick in there, but I don't want a dude" are more difficult for me to accept.

But then, previous discussions here have shown that a lot of folks don't even like toys in their yuri porn. I'm a lot more accepting than the norm for those, I think.

To be honest, I have long since given up on forcing anything LL related, canon or fan work, to conform to my understanding of reality. I could easily write a ten page dissertation on the subject but that would stray much too far from the topic at hand. Nonetheless, regardless of whether or not this story represents reality - which it does not, in my humble opinion, as it appears to state that Maki simply sprouted a penis rather suddenly, but I digress - my point stands that there is more than male and female and black and white, both in fiction and reality.

The author has decided to label this a yuri work. By my understanding of the genre, this would mean love between females only. Forgive me Nezchan for extrapolating and assuming beyond the presented story, but I am assuming Maki was born female and as such identifies as female. The fact that she - magically? - sprouted genitalia not traditionally associated with her gender identification has not changed said gender identification. She still identifies as female and thus I believe the work can still be described as yuri.

A simpler argument could be that the author has declared this a yuri work, therefore it is a yuri work. Q.E.D.

As for what I do expect out of LL is believable character interaction. Ooshima Tomo has established throughout her works that Nico and Maki are quite deeply in love and horny as all get out. In this work, Nico's love for Maki is clearly not limited to genitalia and I like this idea. Their mutual lust for one another also transcends traditional gender identities and they are willing to experiment with their new circumstances. I also like this idea. In the end, Nico asks if the new appendage will go away, but what is not made clear is whether or not she wants it to go away or wants it to stay. My interpretation is that Nico wants the appendage to go away so Maki may return to a state that she - Maki - identifies as normal for her; not for Nico's sake, but for Maki's, as Nico wants Maki to be comfortable in her own body. This also lends an additional reason, beyond general lust, that Nico agrees to experiment with sexual activity.

Regardless of my opinion on futanari, I love Tomo's interpretation of NicoMaki and their interactions, even if I must occasionally stretch my suspension of disbelief. But as mentioned above, I am accustomed to doing this for the franchise as a whole.

Well, as I said, going by real world if you are intersex and have both vagina and penis, the penis would grow out of clitoris (since we are all girls at the beginning and later depending on gender clitoris grows into penis) and as we know, you don't pee from your clitoris, so I'm assuming in intersex their vagina and urethra developed properly for the most part, but clitoris grow bigger than normally and in some cases actually grow into a penis. Maybe in intersex cases they can grow urethra in penis instead of vagina? I'm not expert and I'm mostly guessing based on my limited knowledge about normal genitals. Anyway, we are talking about magical futa here. I have no idea. I wouldn't be surprised if they would pee from penis in this or any other cases.

I personal dislike futa, but as was pointed already, they are both girls, so it is yuri. One of them having penis doesn't change it. Sure, you don't have to like it and nobody forces you to, but it still is yuri. Just not the kind of yuri story you wanted. I think if you would say that you don't enjoy futa and that is the reason you feel cheated, they would refund you money, but if you would say to them, you wanted yuri and it isn't, they would only respond with "tough luck".

For that matter, while there's obviously overlap futa and yuri have two different fandoms. Being into yuri, and accepting that being trans is no barrier to yuri, is not identical to being into futa. Which I think is the weird thing about this being named a yuri book, because if you're going to aim it at people who like futa why beat around the bush? You'd want to say "Hey people who are into futa, this is the stuff you're looking for!"

Why ? Why name it yuri when it's futa ? I though that we couldn't say that futa and yuri were the same, so why name it yuri ?? I mean, there is no yuri if it is a futa since we can't merge the two of them.
