So The Princess Affair has a bad end, then?

No, not at all, it's a very happy end.

Speaking of that, I read the second book "The Princess and the Prix", and I didn't enjoy that very much. Mainly because she resorted to killing of a character (which I really liked, and supposedly the princess' love interest was really good friends with the family, but we don't see anything about them after that. At all.), which then spawned the break-up of the couple, which I'm not entirely sure she should've forgiven her for. I'm a little conflicted about that. The couple from the first book shows up, and unlike the family of the princess from the first book, the new one's family is the complete opposite of that, as in, they're kind of disgusted by gays/lesbians. And while I understand why another press release about the princess being a lesbian could be seen as repetitive, the author didn't show the reaction from the family. The epilogue is them going to an after party of sorts holding hands and saying that there will be a press conference the next day after it revealing that Alix (the princess) is a lesbian and has a girlfriend. And the party isn't even shown. Plus I think the author has a liking for characters who sleep around a lot. In the first book it was Sasha (the princess) and in the second it was Thalia (the princess' love interest). If you want an elaboration feel free to ask xD So I certainly enjoyed the first book more.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just disappointed in the second book.

Just finished "Seduction for Beginners" (the mini-sequel to "Something in the Wine"), and it was nice. It showed a bit of progression about their relationship, and not entirely on the sex front, though that was the major factor for which it was written. It also showed about willingness to talk with each other which is nice. I would've liked if it didn't stop after they had sex and showed the 'morning after' or something similar. As it is though, I feel like the major reason it was written (as in 90% of the reason it exists) was because there was no sex scene(s) in the first book. The author does say that she didn't write a sex scene there was because she didn't feel like they were ready, and I very much agree. So she had a bit of compromise here, even if it was more for the sex scene, it still showed a little bit of how they are with each other. It would've been better if there was a talk after the sex, but it's good enough.

Edit: I realized I was just repeating myself xD
So tl;dr, it feels like it was written because of the demand for a sex scene, even if there is a little bit of progression, it's barely enough.

^Thanks about the info on the princess story. Found out that I don't have that in my eBook folder though, so I'm probably not gonna read it, at least for a while.

I'm pretty much finished with Rebecca's Cove by LJ Maas now and it was okay but far from the best. It felt a little... clunkily written from time to time and the characters did some things that I felt came out of nothing just to make the relationship work. And not to mention how the first 200 pages were pretty much a standard romance and then the last pages were all like "Well, you just started dating and all but should totally get married now because WE'RE ALL WITCHES! MAGIC, MOTHERFUCKER!" Would have been better if they dropped some more hints along the way.
Also, now I want to read a story about the 2 women from the legend.

And is it just me or is the term yaoi offensive as fuck?
「…」
^Yeah, nevermind. I thought the whole no climax no meaning thing was about gay people in general but it's just about like, the plot structure of porn.

Well, the dōjinshi community tend to be self-deprecating, it's like the word “fujoshi” which mean “rotten girl”.
The term “yaoi” was used at first to describe any dōjinshi by the authors themselves during the 70s, they were mostly doing parody, so that's a good name; a parodic title for a parody.
It was latter coined to male-homosexual stuffs latter, around 1979.

Amusing enough, the term “yaoi” has many meanings, and the first used for male-homosexuality was a more romantic meaning than the usual “no climax, no point, no meaning” :

Ravuri member Maru Mikiko created a male homoerotic manga which she titled “Yaoi,” writing the term in kanji characters meaning “chasing the night.” — Boys Love Manga and Beyond

The supernatural part kind of weirded me out too. I was expecting something paranormal to happen, but the book was shaping up to be a traditional romance so I thought I was imagining things... then it went full-on magical and it kind of clashed with the tone of the story up until that point.

I kind of think it's bad. I mean the way they both are it's like they're bipolar almost and the way the author jumps around with how they feel, the 2 month skip. I mean what's with that? Then that fight, like 2 months haven't passed and it was BJ's first day on the island and then BJ's best friend comes and at first I thought it was a good idea for the push (even if the romantic feelings were barely there, as well as BJ getting sick to her stomach at the thought of something romantic between them), but then it looks more like bullying her into confessing her feelings. Then Hobie riles her up even more by kissing her friend, I mean really? And she knows at the time as well. Then the reveal about Hobie running over her grandmother as well. That shouting match was.. Yeah. Let's not mention BJ's past. In 'therapy' I mean. At least when they tried to sleep with each other after confessing their love, it was believable and fairly genuine, I thought that was the one right thing the author did.

^Pretty much aggre with most of that, I just didn't really hate it. Definitely one of the worse ones I've read, though.

Could someone recommend a series to me ? I've started Once upon a time but mid season 2 it's starting to feel borring... And right now I'm too lazy to go through the list x)

Don't actually care that much if there is gay stuff happening, as long as it's interesting but it would be a plus

Edit : Actualy, a movie, a webcomic, a comic or anything would be great... I'm bored... and lazy...

It's been brought up several times in this thread, but always worth mentioning it again. it's a good series.

Just finished 'Josie and Rebecca' by Vada Foster and BL Miller, and it went on hell of a lot longer than it should have. It's set in a Western setting, and it's about an outlaw and a young (19 and 20 little later in the story) woman. It's a little over 400 pages long, but it could have as well been at least 100 pages shorter, and the last 'arc' was entirely unnecessary. The romance felt a little abrupt as well. 200-ish pages of no indication of any attraction to either of them and suddenly there is a declaration of love. It's a really, and I mean really slow burn. There was a few other things that were a little weird, but otherwise, it was a decent read. I still haven't finished Accidental Love by BL Miller, and it looks like this one (Western book) and that one (Accidental Love) are 'uber' stories.

For anyone who likes a Western setting it's going to be a nice read I assume.

I'll always remember Rosy Palm and her five friends though xD

Couple-ish. Haven'T watched it but there is at least a non-binary (means gender-fluid, I think?) pansexual character played by LaFontaine. Who is probably not called LaFontaine in real life but eh.

Also, The Royals apparently gave the princess a female love interest. Evil bisexual, obviously.

Watched the first episode when it came out and one of the characters seemed to be serious about their ''relationship'' but I think it was more sexual than anything.

I've also seen footage of another character, that shows up in the first episode aswell, that is going to have some sort of relationship with another woman but I have no idea of what nature.

The show itself didn't seem interesting to me, that's why I didn't cotinue it.

As far as I know none of the three (?) queer women have died yet, but their relationships are complicated and the initial couple might not have a happy ending. Also one of them gets raped at some point. Not really surprising in a show about pirates, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I heard that they revealed that their main (male) character is bisexual after a couple seasons, similar to what happened on The 100 or How to Get Away with Murder. That's a trend I can get behind. It makes bigots so angry and I love it.

Yeah, that's always pretty funny.
