I love it, but why do I feel that it'll never go beyond ecchi, romantic subtext and it feels like they are "playing at love"?

Like, they all are just LUGs.

I guess the tons of yuri baits out there have made me wary.

Anyway, while I love the Chie x Ai dynamics, I can't say the same of Mari x Yuu. Because it's not a balanced dom/sub relationship. Mari is hardly ever rewarded.

For those of you who aren't up to speed this is the current situation:
There are 8 Volumes out in Japan, 6 in Germany and 2(?) in Italy. The current chapter count is 119 with a new one every two weeks (posted on this website: http://grandjump.shueisha.co.jp/original/otome/).
Collected official raws from 61 onward can be found here: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zq719nicccy54/Virgins'_Empire
Someone posted raws for volume 3 bought from the Japanese kindle store (which was trickier to buy from than you'd expect) and I'm doing my best translating it. Hopefully we will get the other volumes too and pump out these chapters quickly. The guy or girl who donated the raws is also the one doing the editing, I think.

Not to spoil but at least two pairs eventually goes beyond subtext, a very lovely confession and kiss on a paris wheel for one of the pairs :D

Yeah as squigy92 says there is a few couples that are not just subtext, heck even now we have a few that are couples in all but name, like Chie and Ai.

as later chapters come out we actually get less and less nudity and more romance, though the Ecchi stuff stays about the same.

Thank you very much for your work upon this series! It always brightens my day when I see that a new chapter has been translated, and I'm eagerly awaiting the continuation.
