I think I agree with the statement that in Chapter 1 the way Shouya was physically pulling on Ritsu was coercive. I don't know that there is a point in drawing parallels to figure out whether that's worse than Yarai kissing her out of nowhere. I'd say at minimum, neither situation was about consent.

Describing Dynasty as forgiving of men in general is pretty silly, as is describing people of misandry for not forgiving Shouya. I think whether you forgive Shouya or not, both takes have merit. Personally, I'm willing to forgive him. Frankly, being cool with Ritsu being gay instead of being into him is already better than what I assume of not just men in manga but in real life. My expectations of men is in the aggregate is so low that this feels like a win to me.

I'm super curious where we go from here. I meant part 2 is going to continue the conversation probably, but I hope the manga doesn't end and we have plenty more to go.

This author is not known for bad endings or drama...Just silly humor and fun good yuri like the yuri-twins manga...I will be shock if the author goes the drama route in this manga though

Newest chapter (Just released//13.2): He asked MC how they want to break up, subtle distant before letting people draw their own conclusions or just public announcing (Fine with both methods but their classmates would probably making an annoying fuss, asking why...Though honestly they could just say they just don't click together in chemistry to the classmates...Though their classmates might be annoying and try to force them back together just cuz of their looks...In which case fk those friends/classmates).
The guy even offering to beat anyone up if they try to get in the way of MC making her waifu more sociable/boost her waifu's rep. (Ex-Boy-kun has high reputation stat just like MC here but he lives more casual and freely like MC's waifu [She free spirited but socially dumb] and the opposite of the MC whom is more self-conscious about public/other peopel opinion)

So unless ex-boy is some mean-spirit guy willing to hold a grudge and wait for the critical moment to unreleased the emotional damage of revealing that MC is gay/minor cheating aspect reveal (Which would be fked up but very low 1% chance of happening) then your over-worrying XD

They only dated because of peer pressure, but peer pressure can be a weird thing where when you actually talk to people individually they were never for it to begin with. I'm hoping it turns out like that, where those friends got swept up in the moment or something and aren't the type to be jerks.

I've heard this more than once now, so I think we should mention that this is both of their decisions (honestly it's mostly just her).

He asks if she'd want him to keep her relationship to Yarai a secret or tell everyone and she is surprised that he's being so nice. She then says "yes," to keeping this secret. He goes along with it. He then asks if they should tell everyone about the breakup, knowing how drama adverse she is. She is again thankful that they can avoid the potential chaos by naturally distancing themselves.

Her character is avoidant; that's been her main trait. It's why she's been cheating while avoiding her now ex. He's almost unrealistic in how supportive he's being here, so I don't really understand the sentiment that this is somehow his fault? He'd do whatever she told him to. Him saying he would even beat up naysayers is even more evidence of how silly this all is but it's a comedy so it works. If Yarai has issues I'm sure it'll be a lead up to our MC finally not being avoidant.

Ritsu's sister called her a cheater, she thought about having to tell him, as I said he was mentioned in chapter 7.1. I'd assume the author meant to tie it up eventually.

shouya is a respectable guy. good on him for handling it well. Also this is a fun manga. Hope it gets more chapters soon. My one complaint is (even if this is a yuri manga and im reading it for the yuri) why didn't shouya even reach out to her at all if he "did like her quite a bit"?.

Might be he was giving her space after the failed kiss.

I assume the main reason he existed as a character was to highlight Ritsu's apathy and uninterest in love and dating and how uncomfortable with the prospect of intimacy, so that we see the contrast when she's with Yarai and actually attracted and interested in her partner and how she's practically jumping at the chance even if she doesn't realize it.

So once Ritsu comes to terms with her own attraction, his part in the story is done.

I am not presuming anything dude, just helping to let you know there is a very low chance of possible drama from ex-bf whom hopefully has much lesser screen time by bringing up author's past/previous works as my evidence for low chanc of drama (All mostly silly and light hearted) XD

But still good to know you know it already unlikely in your first original comment that I had comment beforehand even if you had thought ex-bf was 'slightly' suspicious [What made me 'think' you might have 'slightly' misunderstand ex-bf intentions] and sets your nerves on edge...Might want to read less of those types of other drama series/manga though lol XD
