This one is pretty much canon, it's an official manga. I wonder if the school idol diary really have this much subtext (Rin all blushing, ecstasic thinking about Nozomi's beauty and the other stepping back to let them alone)

And I doubt the last panel of page 14 was made that way by accident x)

Because there is so much Ship Tease that it has sparked no small amount of Ship-to-Ship Combat. So much so, in fact, that such battles have been banned on this site. Thus, while not as blatant a romance as some series, depending on the strength of your Shipping Goggles, it could very well be viewed as such.

Your Mileage May Vary on the usefulness of such a site. I fancy myself a writer and find tropes to be indispensable tools, thus a wiki dedicated to them is incredibly useful as well as entertaining. However, this is my opinion and as such is worth no more than what you paid for it. I link to it merely in hopes that someone else out there finds it useful as well, or at least gets a smile out of it.

She explains it; she was confident when in the presence of another, but scared when left alone. The fact that her panic resulted in physical harm to her certainly appears to exasperate the situation.

If you think about it objectively, shipping wars are hilarious. Two groups of people attack each other over which pairing is otp. It's almost as funny as watching fundies and non-religious people fight. xD

I know right Lol! When I read that shipping wars tv trope page, I kept thinking "... right, so we're fighting over a fictional pairing of fictional characters, humans sure are weird" xD

As long as it's got yuri and a good story, I'll ship pretty much any pairing, no matter how strange it is :D

I think it's more often than not more like fundies fighting fundies.
