Relaire, Mei, and Alea are the cutest and coolest characters ever. I would love to see an anime of this series, and honestly I can't wait to see them in the manga too. The cooking arc was a blast.

^It's definitely bittersweet. Though in theory we can headcanon that Ayaka can join Lumine's travels, or Lumine can visit Ayaka for cute dates.

I really wish Lumine's character was more than "find my sibling" in the canon dialogue. Kind of like how the Fallout 4 protagonist is pretty much entirely "find my family member" as well. Give me more to the player character please, the "find my family" type of story is just something I'm also not very into.

I think I love Ayaka x Lumine the most, but Noelle and Amber are also top tier Lumine ships. Though I also really like Amber x Eula. I mean no matter which you prefer you can't go wrong because they're all great.

Yeah, there's two web novels. The light novel volumes 1 & 2 adapted the first web novel and Volume 3—which adapts the first half of the 2nd web novel—is already out

^The characterisation makes perfect sense if you look at what little available lore there is of the Twins' background though - which basically pegs them as billions of years old Time Abysses ("seen the birth and death of stars" as it were) who have some issues recalling specific details about their past encounters.

In that context the one constant in their existences is each other and their apparently endless journey, so it's only natural that the sibling takes absolute precedence over anything in what is at the end of the day but another transient short stop. Probably also noteworthy here that while the Traveler clearly has nothing against socialising with the natives, quite the contrary, there's also a distinct undertone of staying aloof from any closer commitments.
After all, if you're inevitably going to move on - and eventually forget most about them anyway - it's an act of kindness to minimise the number of people distraught over your departure.

The only hololive member I'm aware of that's confirmed gay is Matsuri. She has talked about her ex-girlfriend, as well as brought up her fear of getting too close to the other girls, as she doesn't want to develop feelings for them. Matsuri is very much hopelessly gay/bi.

In contrast, the other "canon" pairings I am familiar with are TakaMori and OkaKoro (I'm less familiar with Noel/Flare, but they are apparently very close). TokaMori never feels genuine to me. Afaik, they did not know each other before joining hololive, so their chemistry is very weak. OkaKoro on the other hand are close friends, and you can tell. Their playfullness feels very genuine, even if it is just platonic.

The thing people need to remember, is that simply following kayfabe isn't enough. Just because they play flirtatiously, doesn't mean they are attracted to each other. They all do this. The information Matsuri gave was deeply personal in nature(she is very open and intimate with her viewers; to a fault I would say), and speaks to aspects of her life that we simply don't know about the other girls. Please temper your expectations, and take the yuri goggles off when dealing with real people.
