^It's the opposite, that is a really terrible and awkward angle to pull a hand. Try it with your own, this motion is far better suited for pushing than pulling. If she wanted to pull she would have grabbed the hand or the wrist, instead of twisting her hand around in a way that makes it hard for her arm to pull back.
