Something about the art style clash feels cursed.

Well, you see. The women of the world were so happy at the end of WW1 that they all decided to kiss each other to celebrate. They used pocky as an excuse. This tradition continues to this day... no, pocky wasn't invented until 1966. They were all time travelers.
