Pretty sure Plutonium can be recycled, maybe check your local centre

Plutonium, just like uranium and thorium, is recyclable. Easy!

I guess there must have been some ''leftovers'' when she made all those homunculus back then.

It goes in hazardous waste disposal, although idk if they'd actually accept plutonium

The best way to dispose of Plutonium as a civilian is probably to hit up a local hospital: given that there are still Pu pacemakers they are required to take back if the owner doesn't need them anymore. Especially one with a nuclear medicine department will have plenty of waste they need to handle (or at least are supposed to, keyword Goiânia) and contain temporarily. They might ask icky question though.

But the actual danger depends on the isotope. Plutonium-238 would already be over critical mass (<10kg) with the size of the box, whereas naturally occuring Plutonium-244 is ... honestly not worse than uranium glass.

EDIT: Is Tsukino's panda shirt new? It looks exceptionally cute on her.

Okay, this is weird. I didn't think Pu-238, as an even-mass isotope, would be fissile or have a critical mass. So I looked it up, and find... contradictions. There's a paper claiming a calculated (not measured) critical mass slightly lower than for Pu-239! One wikipedia page marks it fissile, another not. Some authoritative-seeming chemical society pages call it non-fissile, others call it fissile.

But if the box were Pu-239, then yeah, already go boom.

That depends on the thickness of the protective box itself, of course. Might not be quite as much inside.

I always forget that Gachapin and Mukku are actual mascots, and not just some weird fever dream created by the artists of Granblue Fantasy.

The 2v1 on red is crazy, but as they say; “Red is sus” so I’m choosing to believe the hate is justified

Hear the sound of the fallin' rain, Comin' down like an Armageddon flame (Hey)!
The shame, the ones who died without a name.
Hear the dogs howlin' out of key, to a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey)!
And bleed, the company lost the war today!

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies!
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives!
On holiday!
