Librarians. People think we're all cardigans, glasses and pearl necklaces. Yes, like the manga, we run on sweet things and coffee. Yes, more than a few are thirsty.
What I think happened was that one day after school the librarian went out of her way to go find and buy the lipstick. Once she got home, she tried it on for herself but disliked how she looked. Which is why she was telling her she didn't look good in it.

It's cute.. but it would have been way better if it was in college rather than highschool...
Illegal age gap is not something that should be use this lightly
No real students were seduced in this work of fiction.

isn't the age of content in most of japan 16 (I know it's 18 in Tokyo)? If she is in her senior or junior year it might not be illegal
However, many prefectures also have local "corruption of minors" or "obscenity statutes" (淫行条例) which raise the de-facto age of consent to 16-18, unless they are in a "sincere romantic relationship", usually determined by parental consent. For example, the effective age of consent in Tokyo by local statute is 18. The age of marriage is 16 for girls and 18 for boys with parental permission, and 20 otherwise (as stated in " ナス邃「窶慊カ窶「ナクナスニ停?邸", the Child Welfare Act of Japan.
I did not know the marriage age was 20! I knew drinking was, but I think voting is at 18... ah, lowered in 2015.
