Do not confuse porn with reality. Or you'd end up feeling inadequate and/or hurt your partner.

And about this, by definition there's nothing much to show in a French kiss from an external point of view, except two interlocked mouths. The rest happens "off camera".

So hentai artists often end up showing it happening outside because they feel it's something the reader wants to feel/see and in the end, it looks totally unnatural. And sloppy.

I've never seen this brought up before, but aesthetically I much prefer to see characters lips fully interlocked when they kiss. To me it looks more romantic and pleasant. The intensity of the kiss can be conveyed through mouth, head and body movement, and onomatopoeia.
