Hm. Took a look at a couple of random pages, and as I expected it's one of those "I have no idea what human genitals look like" artists.

More like "I have no idea what girls look like"

There is not a single natural-looking pose in this manga.

The title should be translated as "I Want to Fire Shimamura Uzuki". The dictionary definition of 자르다 is "to cut", but in this context it means to fire somebody.

I don't get why manga artists these days are so obsessed with drawing people sticking their tongues out and rubbing them together mid-air. It's like they all only learned about french kissing by watching Japanese porn videos.

It's clear that this piece is more an expression of the artist's thoughts and experiences than a traditional romantic narrative. It's nice to have some diversity in the stories told within the genre.

For bonus points, she should have sold any lesbian porn her dad has first, and purchased GL erotica. So I only give her a B+

I totally agree, but lesbian porn is niche at best in Japan, and I don't think a used bookstore would have a great stock of GL content. An A- from me!

The title reminds me of Spice Girl by Animé

It's Aminé LOL

This oneshot wasn't for me. The whole "I can't believe you lied to me about not getting hurt by static electricity just so you could have me all to yourself!" reasoning is just way too contrived. Who acts like that in real life?

You have to get her permission to essentially NTR her? Like, this whole thing doesn't work when she's basically a small human.

I think the cat's merely being personified to the reader, not that the cat is actually humanoid.

I don't think it's an actual cat. The owner takes her in the bath and dries her hair after, that's not something cats normally do... I know eh?
It would still be a terrific story if it was a personified cat, rather than a cat-like humanoid... or humanoid cat.

I bathe and dry my cat once every couple of months.

Fun fact: in the afterwords of "the secret love of my girlfriend and I", the author said this story is based on the real experience of her friend. She also talked about how her friend didn't care if she published the story using her real name.

That might explain why there's no real context because it may very well have ended badly, being real life and all.

damn (in both the holy shit they did it in a school and the man there could be a bad end to the story too way)

The story is actually taking place in the kouhai's house.

I'm Korean and I've never once heard my parents call each other by their names. It must be the same in Japan.

Honestly if it's real life in current Japan or the world I think people would just go cheering them on, especially the otaku fans instead of bringing them trouble..

From what I've experienced, idol fans are extremely hostile towards the very idea of idol singers dating, especially when it comes to female idols. The idol is supposed to uphold the image of innocent and devoted fantasy girlfriend/boyfriend, and god forbid they actually show a human side.

I still can't get over how Yagi started groping Mado in the 2nd chapter to "make her feel better" instead of...I don't know, asking what's bothering her like a normal person. Also, just because something is plausible in real life doesn't make it good writing. I feel like Yagi's only defining characters are her crippling self-hatred and obliviousness, and those traits are not exactly warming me up to her. Especially when they are used as a plot device to enable a clichéd love quadrangle.

What kind of world do these kids live in where two high school girls and a man walking together are assumed to be part of the sex trade? I've heard that teenage prostitution is common in Japan, but don't girls have fathers and other male relatives? Being accused of prostitution by random gossip seems to be a common plot device, so maybe it's just one of those things authors throw in for the sake of drama, or maybe high school gossip really is that awful.

I'm from Korea and I've definitely gotten a few strange stares in the past for going out to eat or going to the movie theater with my dad. Korean dads aren't the most family-oriented, so I guess people aren't used to seeing a father and daughter who are actually on good terms. I imagine Japan would be similar. Also, people do tend to assume the worst about others.

As a Korean I can confirm that same-sex hand-holding is indeed rampant in Korea. So much gay for such a conservative country... everything's strictly no-homo basis, of course.
