Wouldn't the rape tag apply to the first chapter as well? (Not defending Lulu's actions here)

I was gonna say the same, but then I thought: she only used an aphrodisiac, which only stimulated Lulu more (she didn't lose her senses, she was just horny), Harmony didn't force her physicaly (Lulu was top) she only talked her into doing it and the drug only influenced her but Lulu had the will to do it so I don't believe it was rape. Also, Harmony always ask her if she's ok with it or if she likes it when they are doing it so she cares. With Harmony's words:

Was not expecting full on rape in a Mira story...

You didn't read the first part of the beauty salon story? That one's another pretty clear case.

Why if Mira write the word "BDSM" then suddenly the story turns into drama? :( I want something like Graphite by Takemiya Jin but by Mira way :'(
Also, I didn't expect some rape in a Mira's work o.o

You are right, she even said it in the second volume x'D the thing is that in that chapter, how she didn't know the beautician was doing that, you at first didn't think in rape, but in this chapter it just... is. We should say this was explicit rape to differentiate

I thought it was rape right from the moment the beautician drugged an unsuspecting girl before molesting her. It was pretty explicit, the difference is this one is more overtly violent with more physical force involved.

Well, that was verily lacking in cool. I don't like it when something like this pops up in a funny story. If it wasn't Mira, I'd probably stop with the series right now.

Not cool, Lulu, not cool at all. (´・ω・`)

Yeah, I'd say the main difference is just that this one is actually taken seriously in-story and treated with some of the gravity you'd expect for a sexual assault instead of as just another kind of fun sexy thing that's used to show that a character is a bit of a bad girl, which is what usually happens when a Mira story gets rapey.

That's something that surprised me about this one to be honest. Although I expect it'll be treated as a romantic comedy element within a chapter or two. The main reason I'm going to keep reading for now is to see how she handwaves it away, tbh.

True, but this was more overt I felt then the beauty salon one.

Maybe, but what I like about this relative to the beauty salon story is that (so far at least) it's not being so handwavey/fetishy about it.

This chapter was already telegraphing the make-up sex. It wasn't rape, she was just being, y'know, aggressive.

I agree with this. You are all quick to call rape the moment a no appears in a dialogue box. It ended the moment she got slapped. It was then it became clear to Lulu the advance was unwanted, and she stopped. Girl is just a bundle of emotions who tried a little to hard to get Harmony to love her. She's not innocent, but she's not a criminal.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think it was pretty rapey. But I think it's pretty clear that both Mira and genre convention think otherwise.

She was literally saying it hurt and Lulu kept going!

I'm quick to call rape when one character, y'know, rapes another right there on the page.

I think Mira knows what she's writing, it's just that her priority is to write her idea of an interesting sexy story instead of her idea of a healthy relationship. Lots of romance stories could use a "don't try this at home" disclaimer, because lots of people have weird turn-ons that wouldn't work out so well in real life.

It's almost certainly gonna be glossed over in the next chapter or two anyway, of course. My guess is that when they next meet up the conversation is going to end up being all about Harmony's ex instead of about what Lulu did.

12 pages in and it's already clear they have reversible roles according to the Golden Rule of Face Shape in Mira-Universe. (round face = bottom, triangular face = top, and the two having about the same face shape could only mean they don't have specific roles)

Edit: Does it bother anyone that the end of chapter 3 states "chapter 2 end"?

Well there's that "aaaaaah~" and the heart in the same bubble, so I'd personally let this one slide...
