They're so cute! I really love how Ayumu inspires Hina to do better without even meaning to. Like, there's the ending here obviously, but there's also stuff like how Ayumu's honesty gave her the push to clear things up with Asuka in Chapter 4 or her wondering when the last time she was passionate about something at the beginning of Chapter 3.
In fact, the latter combined with her sentiment about "what's the point in trying" here makes me wonder if Hina saying "why worry about the future if a meteor could come and end everything" in Chapter 6 was just a joke-y cover to a general feeling of apathy she has beneath her cheerful exterior. Really, when I look at it all together it feels like Hina might run only because her mother did and it lets her avoid her thoughts, rather than passion for or ambitions with the sport itself. But now her time with Ayumu is slowly starting to change that, and give her something she is actually passionate about (just compare her face when Ayumu hugged her vs when Asuka did). Maybe part of this is just me looking a bit too far into things, but either way I think it's really sweet to see
