Am I supposed to think Chrono being beaten up is funny? Because I don't. Pretty good doujin otherwise.

Don't you know? Men being beaten up by women is comedy.

Not sure probably counts as prequel to http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/incomplete_combustion but it's MekiMeki and everyone should be reading all of them anyway.

Don't really see the fuss about Chrono being "beaten up". Sure, it wasn't his fault, but it a rather common comedic reaction to pervyness in manga and anime. If you start fussing about it, why not complaining about Hayate getting a fist to the face just for a little bit of teasing ? Plus, from Fate point of view, she just saw Chrono assaulting Nanoha. Sure, we know it's that potion's fault, but Fate doesn't. How was she supposed to react ? "Oh, sorry to bother you, go ahead." ?

Fun read, looks like this author like to see Fate as completely ignorant of sexuality. XD

Not only are you supposed to think Chrono being beaten up is funny, you're supposed to think anyone getting beaten up in such a context is funny, so I'm really not sure what the issue is supposed to be unless we're criticizing this kind of joke in all its instances.

I didn't consider it particularly funny, but Fate not knowing how sex works kind of overshadows it anyway.

I'm getting the feeling that if Fate saw anyone else in the same position as Chrono, guy or girl, she would have beat them up regardless...

So did everyone forget that Hayate got her face smashed in?

So, in this instance, had sexual relation occured between the duder and the girl. What would we call it?
The girl clearly doesn't consent, but we all know that people under the influence drugs/alcohol to a level where you have no idea what's happening cannot give consent. Considering the crazy substance he was given he fits the bill.

It has to be 2 people commiting rape against eachother.

I can't imagine Nanoha being unable to clearly say what she wants in sex, much less resorting to underhanded methods.

No, it really really doesn't. Raping someone while intoxicated does not make you the victim of rape, not does being raped by someone who's intoxicated make you a rapist. A certain level of intoxication removes one's ability to give consent yes, but it does not remove their culpability for what they do, including assaulting someone.

You're right, although one would assume being drugged without your knowledge would possbly a mitigating factor in crime.
One thing is for certain, if you commit a crime while sleeping, you have prety good chance of walking. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homicidal_sleepwalking

That was me looking into legal cases and finding this out, seriously, killing folks in your sleep.

Edit: Actually involuntary intoxication CAN be a defense, but it's rare and most often than not fail because he/she have to prove temporary insanity, unless the law is different in X place you're living in.
