I have a bunch of mutuals and people I follow who watched this. From what I know, in the most simplest terms, it's two girls fighting over a guy. A "weird love triangle with a guy" to be exact.

The way they're treated as characters (supposed to be the female leads, mind you) is a huge slap on the face for anyone coming from GWitch. And of course because it's het, Machu and the guy gets to kiss. For an objectively bland romance to even get one, that pretty much seals it that there's literally no excuse that we didn't get a SuleMio kiss besides homophobia.

Notice how almost all the MachuNyaan stuff are in promotional materials and the ED while they apparently have no meaningful chemistry in the story itself (beyond ep1 at least???). It's pure yuri bait riding off the success of GWitch.

No wonder my mutuals (huge Gundam fans) seem hugely disinterested/disappointed with the "main trio" and mostly talk about other cool Gundam stuff and characters instead.

^Yeah it makes me wonder how the GWitch team is feeling, with the amount of restrictions they had to deal with, and what we saw of them having to push back to even get as much we did with the series.

^^After I watched the ED it gave me little bit of hope, it's literally the HibiMeshi ED but instead of a group of friends, a couple roommates. What a painful bait that was, thanks to everyone who bore with me and answered my questions this far, not watching it. And justice for GWitch, like seriously, the fucking marriage was hyped from the very first episode...

^Sometimes I wonder if some scenes were designed on purpose to indirectly communicate their initial plans before the "cleasing" process. Not just in GWitch but in basically every anime I watch. Not all of them of course.
