nice! thanks for the translations of the “missing” parts. i'm already excited about “eating honey toast at the love hotel”

but one question: what does saeko write on the floor with her blood? (on page 8)

"Miwa no aho"

"Miwa's dumb" or something in that vein.

Oops totally missed that, will fix. She writes “Miwa is an idiot”

Wow, an alternate timeline where Sae got lost in the mountains together with Miwa instead of spoiler, and, judging by their interactions, the Shiho incident never happened, so they lived happily(?) ever after. I've seen all the other oneshots posted here before, but not this one.

Sometimes, as I get mental overthinking another new serialization chapter, I genuinely start wondering whether the world would've been a better place if we got this version of the story with 4-5 chapters of them having fun dating silly dumbass style instead of the one where they go through large amounts of angst, drama, and character development for 13 volumes and break my heart a dozen times in the process.

I absolutely wouldn't trade the serialization for anything, it's so good imo. This is a story about a gay journey, not just the gay destination, so you just have to appreciate the ups and downs of the gay road

It's so incredible and it feels like real people with real issues. I am so interested to see what happens with these two numbskulls.

To the scanlator, there's "PARNTER" at page 9 bottom panel.

i love saemiwa but this just reminds me how much I prefer them as they are rn in the main story, I can’t stand their early personalities they’re simply not compatible like this lol

Yeah this one in particular felt like a weird time capsule for early Saeko & Miwa (to an extreme, since most of these short comics were clearly prioritizing comedy). I think I like "Just Go Out Already!" the most of the pre-serialization doujins because we get to see Saeko act much wiser, and Miwa be much more emotionally open. It's cool that Tamifull-sensei already had that direction planned out.

Yeah I think it's cool that they actually work better as friends than girlfriends, and that's fine and good character writing.

It's crazy how different the dynamic of their relationship is here to where it is now in the serialization. They have so little understanding or respect for each other starting out, you can tell sex and a lack of dating options were the only things really holding their relationship together. They've grown up so much... T_T Saeko especially, I forgot how crude and obnoxious she could be.

I'm glad that, at some point in the official series, Saeko realized this and took the initiative to end their relationship. This allowed them to try different types of relationships with new people. When those relationships eventually ended, they were better able to understand how things work despite the hard ships along the way and truly appreciate each other. well not yet but we are getting :P
