Yeah this is the second time they've reacted like that with the exact same argument.
So I think the user is bothered by melanin but don't want to say it outright, so instead they try to make us seem like we're the bad, crazy and racist ones for wanting to see more skin colours when we've said and made it clear multiple times that the problem isn't the character being light skin, but there being no dark skin characters at all despite it being based on regions where people have both light and dark skin in modern times or, at the very least, other traits people would consider "racialized".
but we can't just pretend there's no darker skinned people. not when the region is based on frickin' mexico before colonization
Yeah. Seriously, lol... How is wanting to see characters that reflect the people they're based on "ruining it" for the fans? You can't use real living people as your inspiration and expect them not to be bothered when you strip them away of what makes them... them. What juanelric and I are saying is completely sensible and my native relatives are not that light, they're brown and to affirm the opposite is to deny reality.
